In terms of the senses of some animals, they also have different sensory compared to the human beings and very unique in fact that some of them can possess very unique hearing or tasting capacities or seeing things at dark environments that humans cannot do without the help of technology. These characteristics are present on earth but can possibly be present on other planets too if life really exist there and it could be possible that instead of animals, their humans inhibit those characteristics which makes them very strange to humans. This is usually the ones depicted in movies making them really weird looking.
