Binoculars are convenient to use and available in almost any local store. Through your binoculars you see the distant stars clearer than using your own bare eyes. However, for general use, it is advisable to look for binoculars with lenses between 40mm and 50mm.

Binoculars can actually show you far more stars than you can see with your bare eyes. Through your binoculars, you can actually see the bright star clusters, galaxies as well as nebulae. If you want to study the stars, it is better to look first which star you would want to study before you point your binoculars otherwise you would end up pointing your binoculars everywhere. When you choose a place make sure that it is safe and that you are wearing warm clothes. It is also ideal to stargaze when the moon is not so bright or not visible. If you have a map to guide you in locating stars, bring a flashlight with a red glow or you can also cover it with red cellophane.
